Angeline can offer support with a wide range of challenges that arise in a child’s life. Angeline loves to work with children and includes families and carers in the work.
Angeline uses creative methods such as sand play, expressive therapies and art. Play is the way that children naturally process their inner and outer worlds. Sand play therapy is an appealing and inviting way for children to let us know how things are for them and also a way to resolve difficulties. It is a gentle, safe approach that is child led and paced. Angeline aims to help to build resources in the child and the family that help them to feel stronger in navigating life.
These creative methods are supported by a ground of solid knowledge and experience of children’s mental health, child development, trauma informed care, family systems theory, solution focused and strength-based approaches and neurobiology.
Adult Psychotherapy
Angeline is extensively trained in a range of psychotherapeutic modalities. She has a lifelong, genuine fascination in human beings and what they need to thrive. She loves both individual and group work. Angeline takes a relational approach and is passionate about supporting others to develop their resources. She is a trained Gestalt therapist, this means a focus on expanding self-awareness, increasing presence and on completing unresolved areas in one’s life. This approach encourages us to become more conscious of the way that we support ourselves in life and to move towards being more deeply alive, more grounded and more resourced.
Angeline is an experiential psychotherapist, this approach brings together creative and expressive modalities such as sand play therapy, dream work, voice dialogue and meditation. Experiential psychotherapy supports us to explore, grow and expand the sense of self, so that we are more able to face life’s challenges. The approach engages the heart, mind, body and spirit.
Angeline is trained in Family Constellation therapy which addresses intergenerational traumas, patterns or symptoms. In families, when sudden losses and traumas happen, they can take at least three generations to heal.
The younger generation of a family can be carrying symptoms or patterns that come from a much earlier time, or they can be following in the footsteps of another family member from generations before. Family constellation therapy allows this to be seen and resolved. Family Constellation Therapy can be undertaken in groups or with individuals.
Clinical Supervision & Teaching
Angeline offers clinical supervision to other mental health professionals using an integrative model. Clinical supervision sessions are 60 mins and $200 per session and can be delivered face to face or through zoom.
Angeline enjoys teaching at the University on mental health nursing and counselling skills. Angeline is currently developing a parenting program.
